Modesto Police Continues to Empower
the Community through Awareness
The Modesto Police Department understands the value of community oriented policing and the importance of working in
partnership with our residents, schools, businesses, faith-based organizations, and community groups. Empowering the
community by keeping the public well informed has been proven effective in reducing crime.
In an effort to continue to improve safety and keep our citizenry informed, the Modesto Police Department has
recently partnered with Crimemapping.com to allow concerned citizens to access crime data. Crimemapping.com is a
nationwide public mapping service that allows residents to analyze interactive maps of recent crime
activity.
